Team Project: Qualitative Research Method
Project Overview: #inclusivity #VR #HCI
The aims involve facilitating smooth communication with family and friends, surmounting physical constraints, fostering increased engagement with the natural world, like observing avian species and offering straightforward instructions for embracing novel technological devices.
Research Key Findings
After the interview, the consideration of harnessing Virtual Reality (VR) technology to attain their objectives arose. Consequently, we conducted supplementary research to substantiate the advantages of familial and social interactions, communion with the natural world, and amalgamating these components with VR technology. The findings of our research underscore that the integration of VR technology, social engagement, and nature connections can effectively preserve the mental well-being of older adults.

Concept
Our proposition involves employing interactive Virtual Reality (VR) technology rooted in nature to establish a connection between older adults, the natural surroundings, and meaningful social exchanges with their family and friends.

Product Features
VRision introduces four modes: "Individual Immersive" for nature engagement like birdwatching, "Intimate" for shared experiences with family/friends via direct voice chat, "Communal" to make new friends in VR and transition them to the Intimate list; and "Training" to ease users into VR with clear instructions.
